Bloging From FireFox with PFF
It is the cool thing to do these days. Share your thoughts, share what you had for lunch today or give us all a detailed account of the fight you had with a loved one or some else. With so many people bloging these days, it is nice to have options on how to get your written thoughts, comments, opions and stories out. The new plugin for FF called Performancing (PFF) seems to be a good fit between browsing and bloging.
You can find the PFF and how to use it here:
I am writing this entry with PFF. So far it seems to have all the basic features one could ask for.
Check it out and see if it makes bloging a little easier.

boot and boot even more
There was a time when a person really needed a tool to aid in multi-boot OS’s on a computer. My favorite was SystemCommander, which is now PartionCommander. If you are looking to multi-boot today and you do a little google search you will find how to boot with w2k/xp and lilo/grub. But what if you do not want to have to do the extra work to boot via w2k/xp or maintain the files for lilo/grub. You could purchase the PartionCommander with its extra feature sets. But if you are like me, you just want a tool to help with multi-booting and keeping more money in that pig is a good thing. Look at SmartBootManager. From the web site: "It has all of the features needed to boot a variety of OSes from several kinds of media, while keeping its size no more than 30K bytes. In another words, SBM does NOT touch any of your partitions, it totally fits into the first track (the hidden track) of your harddisk!"

Microsoft uses Firefox?
I ran across this older article dated Sept 2004:
http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/12.09/view.html?pg=3
As Wired interviewed Stephen Toulouse, Microsoft’s security program manager he made the following comment
"Just this morning I had to install an update to Firefox to block a flaw that would’ve allowed an attacker to run a program on my system."
So, at least Mr. Toulouse has firefox loaded on his desktop. Not so much a slam dunk that MS acknowledges that IE is a security risk, but defiantly shows that MS is looking at how others make a good product.

Merry Christmas
Christmas is here! The kids spent one tenth the time to rip into the packages as it took to wrap them. But I guess that is the fun part for a kid really. I recall the days of seeing how fast I could rip it open. Then there was the year I tried to open each package in such a way the paper would not rip. It was fun watching the kids this year. They got some nice things and will be spending their gift cards soon I am sure. For all of you we wish you a
MERRY CHRISTMAS
